Dignity in mental health
We were commissioned by Interlink to run a short project with people who had lived experience of mental ill health, to use creativity to explore the theme of dignity. Across two creative writing sessions and two visual art sessions, participants created poems, a piece of group art and clay work that will be exhibited at the 2015 Rhondda Cynon Taf event for World Mental Health Day.
Cam wrth gam / Step by step
We have been working with Stafell Fyw / Living Room Cardiff since October 2014, on a project that has supported people with addiction-related problems. The project’s creative workshops have featured creative writing, collage making, photography, creative movement and other visual arts.
Run between May and July 2014, the Creative Challenge project used different forms of art and creativity to tackle mental health stigma and discrimination. Funded by Time to Change Wales, with sessions run at New Horizons in Aberdare, Creative Challenge included sessions of poetry, storytelling, digital storytelling and visual art, working with a group that was mostly made up of 18-25 year-olds.
